SPRINGFIELD – The
Senate Republican Caucus proudly wore pink on Friday, Oct. 16, in
recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and to throw support
behind the “Real Men Wear Pink” campaign. Senator Duffy, third from right in back row,
joined other lawmakers in a show of support.
2009 is the 25th anniversary of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month,
which was created to promote public awareness of breast cancer issues.
Likewise, “Real Men Wear Pink” was established to encourage men to wear
pink on Fridays in October as a way to show their support for breast
cancer awareness.
