Senator Duffy, IDOT announce McHenry County resurfacing and road repair
Barrington,
Illinois—State Senator Dan Duffy
(R-Lake Barrington) and the Illinois Department of Transportation announced road
construction projects in
McHenryCounty. Resurfacing on 3 separate
McHenryCounty
projects was scheduled to being September 18.
According
to the Illinois Department of Transportation, a project consisting of HMA
surface removal, leveling, and patchwork will take place to complete work on
Barreville Road
from the north village limits to
Ames road in
the
village of
Prairie Grove.The estimated cost for the project is
$262,000.
Also
announced was a project on
Bull
Valley Road from
Shelly Court to
Valley Hill Road in the Village of Bull
Valley. The project will consist of the removal of bituminous surface to be
repaired and patched, installation of crack control treatment, leveling,
shoulder placement and pavement stripping. The estimated cost for the
BullValley
project is $262,000.Additionally, a
project entailing of 4.25 miles of milling, resurfacing, striping and other
work is scheduled for
Lake-Cook
Road from the Kane, McHenry, Cook, County line to
Old Hart Road in
Barrington Hills. This tri-county project has an estimated cost of $1,150,000.

stated Senator Duffy. “While road construction in the area may mean a
longer trip to the grocery store, it allows taxpayers to see their hard-earned
tax dollars at work for the improvement of our community. Safe, good quality
roads in the 26th District are essential.”
